My Oasis

My favorite mornings begin in this place, looking out my bay window on the start of a new day, with Bible and journal and coffee at hand, to sit in stillness and remember that His mercies are new every day, and that in every way and for every thing His grace is on me.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of
the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

Weep Not For The Memories

Our Boonville Road house is about to be sold.  Hooray!  But part of that process is that a new well had to be dug, and I wanted to go see it.  I'd heard it was a big hole full of water (for now).  It is a BIG HOLE with water in it!!!  I kept commenting on its size, out loud, for myself to take note of.

And then I checked on Shed 1, because I'd heard it still had a lot of our stuff in it.  And it does, but it's mostly our miscellaneous scrap wood.  I took the several Yard Sale signs I painted in 2008 or so, because the sign wheel doesn't need to be reinvented.  I took a leftover roll of hardware cloth, and some large-ish terra cotta pots, and raided the well excavation site for some more library rocks.
